How to draw the moon - A few easy steps
Step 1:
This initial step is basic and simple. You’ll will have to begin with a perfect circle that is as round as possible.
A flawless circle can be difficult to draw with freehand, so we can use a compass or any other round tool to draw a circle in the center of the canvas/ sheet.
Remember that the moon is a lumpy rock; it is okay if the circle is not perfect.
Step 2:
In the second step, draw irregular patterns to represent the moon's craters. Fill these shapes with pencil shading or, if you want, grey color. Create little circular shapes to represent indents and lunar craters. There is no need to fill them up.
Step 3:
In the 3rd step, use a pencil or grey color and fill the rest of the circle leaving behind the patterns and craters you made in the second step.
Step 4:
This step is almost final. Use a crayon, pencil, or dark grey color to make the circle's outer edge dark to add depth and precision to your drawing.
Your realistic moon drawing is ready!
