Messing around with Lightroom 3. This image was treated with one of the “Yesteryear” presets in LR3. The watermark was applied during export with LR3’s new watermarking feature.
2008 Solar Eclipse: Coronado PST solar scope
A member of the public comes over to see what’s going on and is amazed at the sight of the sun through this specialist telescope that is made specifically to observe the sun directly. Heavily filters cut out all the harmful rays from the sun and let through Hydrogen Alpha wavelength light which enables you to see the fine granular effect on the surface of the sun and also the wispy filaments, arcs and flares coming off the limb of the sun’s disk.
